Saudi authorities urge caution as storms threaten flash floods

Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense has warned residents to stay alert as storm systems are forecast over much of the country, with heavy rain posing a flash-flood risk. The public was told to remain indoors where possible, steer clear of valleys and places where water gathers, and not to enter flooded areas. Authorities also asked everyone to heed official guidance issued through media and social channels.
